SITHGAM022 – Provide Responsible Gambling Services
The RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) competency is a unit of competence that all employees must hold to work in premises where gambling service is provided. Participants are provided with codes of practice that will allow them to provide responsible gambling services and allow them to provide information and assistance to customers in order to ensure the practice of responsible gambling.

Statement of Attainment in SITHGAM022 Provide responsible gambling services from SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality.
Essential Outcomes:

- Those employed within the hospitality industry and wish to obtain a Statement of Attainment and/or have their skills recognised.

The RCG training applies to:
- Licensees of a full hotel licence
- Secretaries of a registered club
- Staff with gaming machine duties
- Staff who pay out winnings
- Staff who patrol or serve in the gaming machine area.
This Statement of Attainment includes one (1) unit of competency; SITHGAM022 Provide responsible gambling services.
This short course equips you with knowledge and skills required to provide responsible gambling services, and to assist those customers who may be at risk of or are already experiencing harm from gambling. Responsible gambling services must be provided wherever gambling activities are undertaken. In the hospitality industry, the gambling environment is usually referred to as the gaming area and is provided in a range of venues, such as hotels, motels, clubs, pubs and casinos.
Duration:
Up to 6 hours face-to face training from 9:00 am till 3:30 pm.
Learner Commitment:
In order to undertake this Statement of Attainment, the learner commitment is expected to be at a minimum of 6 to 8 hours. This includes class participation and assessment activities.
Training delivery method:
Training is delivered in a scheduled face-to-face learning in class.
Work placement:
No work placement is required.
Assessments method:
Written assessment, case study scenarios, role plays, and practical exercises.
Age:
Minimum 18 Years old.
LLN:
Completion of LLN Assessment for short course.
Academic requirements:
There is no academic entry requirement for this Statement of Attainment.
Physical requirements:
This course equips you with knowledge and skills required to provide services to people within a hotel, motel, clubs, pubs, or casinos. It includes performing tasks standing and moving for long hours, working in a high-pressure environment, implementing responsible gambling practices, providing information and assistance to customers about gambling harm and harm minimisation.
Technology requirements:
This course is offered in a face-to-face classroom. No technology requirement is applicable.

Work placement
Work placement is not applicable for the completion of SITHGAM022 Provide responsible gambling services.
